Sisters and Brothers Social Club
FOUNDER & FORMER PRESIDENT
"BIG SIS"
We lost one of our founders/former President Mildred Stevens "Big Sis" to pancreatic cancer. She first struggled with breast cancer which was a trying time for her and her family; it was later that she was diagnosed with the pancreatic cancer. Mildred touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression on any one knew her. She has groomed the Sisters and Brothers Social Club into the loving and caring club that we are today. She left to mourn her loving husband John Stevens and three beautiful children, grandchildren and a host of family and friends, and of course the Sisters and Brothers Social Club. We miss you so much Big Sis!! Gone but not forgotten!!!! We never could of made it without you, THANK YOU!
Our very own Santino Boddie "Sir Champ" patiently waited on a kidney transplant a few years ago; when I say patiently this young man had strength beyond belief. GOD blessed him with a healthy kidney that functioned properly and had him on his way to a speedy recovery until a violent crime took him away from us in 2012. Please continue to keep his wife, mother, father and host of other friends and family in your prayers! Sir Champ you are missed more than you know!!
The Sisters and Brothers and her family members suffered a great loss due to her passing. Trust me when I say we are a strong club and we understand the struggles of illness.
Our President DeNitra was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2008, by the grace of GOD she is doing well and show no signs of cancer in her body.
Please know that any illness can be a struggle and you are not alone. The Sisters and Brothers are fighting with you. Please stay up on your doctor's visits, and take care of yourself and your family, it's very important!
Having dealt with some of these issues and understanding the crisis within our own club and families, some of our proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society and the American Kidney Foundation. If this is your struggle please know that you are not alone and the Sisters and Brothers will keep you in our prayers.
